C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre is involved in creating awareness among school children on various environmental issues by organising exhibitions with colourful panels, models and other display material. Every year, the centre organises three thematic exhibitions and for this year, our first exhibition focused on plants / herbs used in health-care systems – both traditional and modern.

‘Green Healers – An Exhibition of Medicinal Plants’ was held at the C.P.Art Centre from 10th -25th August 2007. It was inaugurated by Shri. R. Mehta, Adviser, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New Delhi and was open to school students and general public..

The exhibition featured nearly 70 medicinal plant species, besides raw drug samples. Panels on the importance of medicinal plants and their uses in treating several ailments were also on display.
